On Horseback
Washburn County offers a variety of trail
riding experiences. Unless posted, the almost 150,000 acres
of county forest land is open to equestrian use. Within the
country forests are streams, shallow rivers, meadows, woods and
wildlife.
Be sure to take a map with you as trails
are not marked.
There are a variety of lodging places to
accommodate you and your horses. There are also several stables in
the area that provide trail rides and rent horses.
